Schedule for Retirement of Kong Public-Access Nodes

  1. June 1, 2020 deprecation
    1. No new accounts will be created.
    2. No new software will be added.
    3. Node failures will not be addressed.
    4. ARCS will continue to provide best effort support for scheduler issues as well as software issues.
  2. December 1, 2020, preparation for retirement
    1. The ilong queue will be disabled.
    2. ARCS will assist users in file/data transfers as necessary.
  3. January 1, 2021 retirement
    1. Logins will disabled.
    2. The short, medium, and debug queues will be disabled.
    3. All jobs with a "qw" status will be removed from the queues.
    4. Jobs still running will be allowed to run to completion.
    5. Any node not running user jobs will be shut down.
