Currently (April 2014) system shutdowns due to routine maintenance are announced one week ahead of the outage.

A new policy (summer 2014) will institute regularly scheduled monthly shutdowns. The tentative schedule is shutdowns will occur from 10:00am to 8:00pm on Thursdays as follows:

• Kong: First Thursday of month;
• Stheno: Second Thursday of month;
• Phi: Third Thursday of month;
• Gorgon: Forth Thursday of month.

It is anticipated that a maintenance shutdown will rarely fill the full 10-to-8 window. If maintenance is anticipated to take longer an announcement will be emailed to the users of the system.

If a research project deadline, classwork, or other deadline would be impacted by a scheduled routine maintenance please email arcs@njit.edu to arrange a postponement.
